I do not agree with the rating of ganguly, Sehwag Dravid and Irfan pathan [Images]. All of them should not get more than 3/10. Ganguly is out of form ok But how come Dravid is suddenly showing off form. Is he doing it on purpose? Then he should be banned. It is quite certain now that Gaanguly will not be chosen for the Indian team in future after the Zimbabwe tour. But we would have lost a very able and courageous captain. The likes of whom we have not seen since Sunil gavaskar [Images] took on the world. Dravid is too goody goody and diplomatic to be a good captain.

Of course the selectors want that. The problem created in the Indian team is due to the Board policy of not appointing a captain for a long term. If a coach can be appointed for a year or maore why is the captain being appointed only for one series.? The Board wants the captain to be at its beck and call. This has created uncertainty in the mind of the captain and loss of confidence in his batting. The media spurred on by regionalism, parochialism and downright irresponsible reporting and the goupism in the Bord politics has driven in the death knell in a team which was looking like world beaters only a year back.

The media got hold of its favourite whipping boy, Ganguly as he was maligned from the day he was chosen in the team, way back in 1996, England [Images] tour when he scored back to back centuries and the likes of Bedi had to eat their own words. What we saw in Nagpur test against the Australians was downright antinational activity with the Nagpur association being anti dalmiya handed over the test on a platter to Australia witha  pitch tailor made for the Australians. Even the formidable Kapils devils the winner of the 1983 world cup were handed down a 5-0 drubbing at the hands of the West Indies [Images] when they visited India in the same year 1983 and India played the same bowlers who were totally ineffective on Indian pitches.

Our medium pacers were hammered to all parts of the ground by the rampaging WEst Indians. Why did the same team which won the world cup lose 5-0 to the same west Indiaes team. So we should have given our players the kind of pitch that was suited to their bowling strength in Nagpur. But we were more interested in scoring a point over Dalmiya than looking at the greater scenario of India our motherland winning. We Indians have always fought amongst ourselves and hence we were conquered by the foreigners.

Ganguly's Rating might be fair, but if it is 2 then Dravid's should be 1. This has been a Very Biased Report, whereby all knew that Dravid did worse than what Ganguly is does normally. How can you expect a standby captain to retain captainship when the actual captain is around.

Why does Ganguly (SCG) get a rating of 2 while Dravid (RSD) get 5? If you look, their averages are similar - SCG did better in the zim series while RSD did better in the SL series. Both were captains and lost the finals. Aren't u being influenced by reputations? RSD is india's finest batsman, but if he fared badly he must be given a 2, like SCG got. And if dravid got 5, sehwag should have got more, as he produced decent innings in both matches.

He is inconsistent, but that is his job in the team. Dravid is the grafter, he is the hitter. Interestingly, both Yuvraj's good innings came against the weaker teams in the competition. WHY is rao being rated better than Ganguly? Only the bond yorker was hard to keep out... Why is pathan rated so low at 7/10? He picked a lot of wickets... ok, he didnt do well in the final, but so did the whole team except Kaif and sehwag! Plus he batted well...

U are being too strict on bowlers in general. 5/10 for the highest wicket taker(Agarkar)? He is expensive, everyone knows that, but he gets wickets... I think that is why he gets picked... Oh, and how does RP Singh deserve a rating of 5 only on the basis of one match, against one of the weakest sides in one day cricket?

Statswise facts are there. With same bunch(almost) we have played last three years and results are we are just 3 above from lower sides in ODI rankings. Iam big fan to Indian Cricket.  As i'll keep leave for my job to watch matches if India is playing.  AS they are disappointing for few years this is the time for us to change the strategies. 

Iam noway understanding that Why we are still continuing with Sourav as a Captain.  (Take an Example of Australia, Steve Waugh).  We have to take some serious decisions towards players who is not performing.

For me even considering Ganguly in team for the forthcoming series will be another blunder the selectors are making. We have to forget the past and move forward for the future. If you consider the past performance, then I think Kapil Dev should be leading the team once again. Ganguly not only lost his batting form but also lost his captaincy brain. The feedback mentioned given by both Harish Kotian and Deepti Patwardhan are the wake up call for the Selectors before they select the team for the futue events.
