Pakistan has drawn up an emergency evacuation procedure in case a natural disaster occurs during next month's tour by England [Images], a senior security officer said on Monday.

The tourists are due to leave England on Tuesday and arrive in Islamabad early on Wednesday.

A massive earthquake earlier this month in the northern areas of Pakistan killed at least 53,000 people and left about three million homeless.

Sohail Khan [Images], a senior police official who has been appointed tour security officer, told Reuters an emergency evacuation plan had been drawn up in the security arrangements.

"The evacuation plan has been added by the administration for the teams in case of a natural disaster," he said.

Khan added that nothing is being left to chance as far as security arrangements were concerned and advance work had been done on all aspects of the tour.

"We have informed experts (with the teams) of what their players are expected to do in case of any natural eventuality," he added.

England are scheduled to play three Tests and five One-Day Internationals in Pakistan.

The first Test in Multan starts on November. 12.
