The Delhi High Court restored the petition of former Indian middle order batsman Ajay Jadeja on Tuesday seeking permission to play international cricket hours after dismissing it.
A Bench comprising Justice Vijendra Jain and Justice Anil Kumar dismissed Jadeja's appeal as no one appeared on behalf of the cricketer when the petition was taken up for hearing.
However, Jadeja's counsel Vineet Malhotra explained his absence before the Bench later saying he was busy arguing a matter before another Bench of the High Court.
The Court then restored the appeal and renotified it for hearing on December 14.
Jadeja had filed the appeal challenging an order of the single Judge of the High Court diallowing him to play any competitive cricket.
However, last year on his plea, a Division Bench of the High Court had allowed him to play domestic cricket only.
