The fifth Test between England and South Africa at The Oval marks the end of Alec Stewart's remarkable 14-year career.
In 1993-94, Stewart became the first England batsman to score a century in both innings of a Test match against the West Indies.
A Windies pace attack spearheaded by Courtney Walsh and Curtly Ambrose was put to the sword as Stewart scored 118 and 143. His masterly display helped England win the match by 208 runs and avoid the humiliation of a series sweep.
