Opener Gautam Gambhir scored an unbeaten ton as India 'A' scored 203 for three on the second day of the second cricket 'Test' match against Sri Lanka 'A' at the Nehru Stadium at Pune on Monday.

Gambhir (117 not out) struck 17 boundaries in his 183 ball knock as the Indians gave a fitting reply to the visitors, who were bowled out for 340 runs in their first innings.

Earlier, resuming at their overnight score of 255 for three, Sri Lanka were wrecked by a five wicket haul by pacemen Amit Bhandari as their middle order failed to capitalise on the impressive foundation.

Left-arm spinner Murali Karthik, who missed the first 'Test' due to flu, chipped in with two wickets.

Rohan Gavaskar (28 not out) was accompanying Gambhir at the crease at the draw of stumps.
