Hyderabad struggling at 199-4

Hyderabad were struggling at 199 for four in reply to Assam's 537 for nine declared on the third day of the Elite Group 'B' Ranji Trophy tie played at the Maligaon Railway stadium at Guwahati on Tuesday.

After Assam declared on their overnight score of 537 for nine, the Hyderabad openers, Daniel Manohar and Nanadkishore made a shaky start.

The visitors lost their first wicket on 38 when Assam skipper Parag Das claimed Mahohar's wicket.

The second wicket fell when Nandkishore was caught by Saravanad off Orland Konar after scoring 41 with 4 boundaries.

Singh was joined by Vinay Kumar and the duo added 97 runs for the third wicket stand. Konar again broke the partnership when Singh was caught by Parag Das after scoring a solid 68 (4 x 6).

Vinay Kumar played an attacking innings of 53 studded with two sixes and five fours. But Singh and Konar were out off successive deliveries leaving their side tottering at 192 for four.

Arjun Yadav (4) and Indushekhar Reddy (3) were at the crease when play ended.
