Letter of the Day

November 23, 2002

My take!

Kumble isn't going to retire gracefully. If you want India to do well, we need to dump him from the One Day team and give Murli Kartik his due. Maybe, Kumble will not leave without some public abuse and humiliation.

Also, I think our victories have been in spite of Ganguly's captaincy. I have no qualms in saying he is the worst captain in the world at present, as far as using his bowling resources and fielding placements / strategy is concerned. You need to examine his conduct.

I love the way Dravid has shaped up for India. No doubt, he may be our most valuable player.

But can you find a reason, why on earth did he not give Reetinder Singh Sodhi a chance to bowl (at least one over so that he could have been checked out ) in the 6th ODI?

Does he have any personal vendetta or just imitating Ganguly in rank poor captaincy?

Signed
