Cullinan back for SA after apology

Daryll Cullinan has been included in a South African 'A' team to face Sri Lanka in a one-day game in Potchefstroom on Saturday after apologising for refusing to play for the Test side earlier this year.

Cullinan, 35, made his peace with administrators two weeks ago by issuing a public apology for walking out 24 hours before a Test against Australia in March because of a contractual dispute.

National selection chief Omar Henry has welcomed his rehabilitation and has made no secret of his desire to consider him for the World Cup next February.

Gary Kirsten, South Africa's leading Test and one-day run-scorer but recently out of favour for the one-day team, was also selected on Tuesday for Saturday's game, the only warm-up before five one-day internationals against the Sri Lankans.

South Africa 'A': Gary Kirsten, Neil McKenzie (captain), Daryll Cullinan, Martin van Jaarsveld, Justin Ontong, Lance Klusener, Robin Peterson, Thami Tsolekile, Charl Langeveldt, Steve Elworthy, Monde Zondeki.
