Four Bangladesh cricketers hurt in road accident

Four Bangladesh Test cricketers have been injured in a road accident in Dhaka, officials said on Thursday.

"Tapas Baishya and Rafiqul Islam are being treated at Dhaka's Combined Military Hospital while Alok Kapali and Tushar Imran have been released," a doctor at the hospital told Reuters.

Baishya and Islam sustained minor head injuries while Tushar Imran injured his hands and Alok Kapali injured his right shoulder.

They were in an autorickshaw which overturned while trying to avoid a truck on Wednesday.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board said Baishya and Islam would remain in hospital for a day or two but stressed that their injuries were not serious. All four played in the two-Test series in South Africa last month.
