Sachin Tendulkar - Mr India

India's batting genius Sachin Tendulkar will play his 100th Test against England at The Oval on September 5. He will become the youngest ever to reach the landmark.

To commemorate the achievement, PMG has produced a 45-minute film, titled 'Sachin Tendulkar -- Mr. India'. It will be telecast on August 31 on DD Metro at 2130 IST, and on September 4 on DD Sports, at 1900 hours.

The film tracks the growth of Tendulkar from a young genius to the world's best batsman. It includes interviews with his team mates, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble. Also featured are eminent cricketing personalities like former BCCI president Raj Singh Dungarpur, selection committee chairman Chandu Borde, India coach John Wright and film personalities, Jackie Shroff and Archana Puran Singh.

The film also has rare footage of Tendulkar's interviews down the years, including his first ever television interview, which was recorded in early 1989.

The show is hosted by former India paceman Salil Ankola.
