Srinath to play for Leicestershire
Shunned by the selector for the ICC Trophy, speedster Javagal Srinath will have a stint in the English county playing for Leicestershire.
Srinath, who had decided to concentrate for the World Cup and retired from Test cricket, will play for a month in England as a replacement for Australian mainstay Michael Bevan.
Srinath, commenting on his decision, said he was honing his skills to be in contention for the Indian ODI squad.
Srinath is currently playing for Indian Airlines in the KSCA All India Invitation Cricket Tournament for the MRF trophy, which will conclude on August 15.
Srinath will play three four-day games and four one-day matches for Leicestershire.
