NZ stick with same side for Bangladesh Test

The New Zealand cricket selectors named the same starting 11 that drew the third Test against Australia in Perth last week for the first Test against Bangladesh, which starts next Tuesday.

Auckland seam bowler Chris Drum has been called into the 12 named on Thursday and will replace Glen Sulzberger as 12th man.

Chris Drum Chairman of selectors Richard Hadlee said the unchanged selection recognised the outstanding team performance at Perth.

"We expect the side to win both Test matches against Bangladesh and to win them well," Hadlee said.

"It is important to continue the positive momentum begun in Australia and to maintain quality play leading into the one-day tri-series in Australia [with South Africa] and the following series against England."

Team:
Stephen Fleming (captain), Nathan Astle, Shane Bond, Chris Cairns, Chris Martin, Craig McMillan, Adam Parore, Mark Richardson, Mathew Sinclair, Daniel Vettori, Lou Vincent, Chris Drum (12th man).
