Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Pakistani president General Pervez Musharraf are meeting each other to try and break the stalemate in India-Pakistan relations. General Musharraf and Vajpayee will hold extensive talks in Agra even as they try and redefine Indo-Pak relations
The talks can change the course of India-Pak history, or become part of the history of failed talks. To that extent, there is a heavy burden on the shoulders of both Vajpayee and Musharraf and it remains to be seen whether they can seize the moment. Not just India but much of the world will be watching and waiting for the outcome of the talks.
What will come out of the talks? Is there a likelihood of some deal? Do we, the people, have reason to be hopeful? These and many such questions
arise.
Rediff.com will host chats with prominent experts and sepcialists on India-Pakistan relationships, who along with our correspondents George Iype and Josy Joseph will participate on The Rediff Chat even as the summit is under way to provide details and insights into the talks between Vajpayee and Musharraf.
