Mr. Bhatt, I agree with you. O think if everyone wants to know about Mr. Bhatt's movies, read the magazines or exercise some patience and wait for the damn movie to come out. MR. BHATT: You seem to have led an amazingly turbulent life. I have too in my own way, except that I haven't been publicized at least not on the cover of a magazine. It's funny but I have no greater desire than to one day produce and direct my own. Do you think that the similar dreams would have to do with the fact that our lives have so much to say? I have found that to be my own explanation.

Hello: Everything I say , think and feel is based on the insights I've painfully arrived at during the course of my various dicussions and battles with him. I've never kidded myself that I had any greatness of my own , the courage that you see coursing thorough my conversations is because of that man called UG . He is the most subversive man who has ever walked on this planet earth.

Tell me Mr Bhatt.. I am a average looker and have no experience in acting. still I would love to act in a film directed by you.. would give me a chance? :-)

Zaza, but real movie buffs need to know about the behind the scenes dynamics as well, what the director was aiming for etc., I don't think you get that from the movie magazines.

Don't worry Mr. Bhatt, I will see your movies. I may talk but the truth of the matter is that I am just like every other gullible Indian dying to live on a dream. Movies provide that, however annoyingly!! YOu're a good man, and you shouldn't let commercial prosperity blind your gift as an artist.

What advice would you give newcomers?In the field of Direction....Acting...etc? Personally I like your Educational TV Programmes best of all....the research is great. Keep up the good work.

Zaza: It is not enough to have experienced pain it is how you convert that pain into a meaningful cinematic experience for the viewer and connect somehow with all those who are reeling under a similar experience that makes you a 'significant' film maker. Keep dreaming one day you maybe able to turn this dream into a movie . Who knows.

TO THE PERSON ADDRESSED AS 'HELLO' Maybe you're right. You want to know about the insides of the movie. But I doubt Mr. Bhatt can show you what he wanted from the movie on the Net. I think maybe the best way to understand a movie and see what was behind the scenes in the thoughtstreams is by watching it. Don't expect an Oscar for every detail behind, instead watch it for what it seems to convey. None of us are oblivious to the intellectual capacity of Mr. Bhatt. His movies are psychological and analyse the innate pleasures and pains of humanity. It's simple - love, hate, desire, ambition and lust. What more is there?

Say how does one get to you....if I have the talent....etc. Won't your 'security system' keep me out?

I am sure, Mr. Bhatt, that holding on to a dream is hardly the reason you are a director today. To be in show business, you need to be a businessman and that takes the dream away, because you have to be the godman himself if you are able to balance both. To be a director is not really my dream as much as it is my ambition - and has been for more years than I can remember. It's my field and I am bloody good - at directing and at acting. I have my share of achievements. My only questions left to be answered is on whose turf do I play my game? I'm in the US right now... so do I want to be a big fish in a small pond or vice versa? But then I have social obligations too. You know the story, tradition is far from about to accept a successful woman in movies - at least 'not in my backyard'

SmrtO: I could have been the catalyst not the reason. Recent studies in psychobiology clearly unmistakably say that mental illness is genetic. Parveen had inherited this trait from her father.

Mahesh: How were you as a child? I mean did you pursue anything close to your career? What are some of the things/peolple that inspired you?

Mahesh: Why do you shy away from a solid story and rely almost solely on screenplay? Dont you risk a flop with Indian viewers not used to screenplay based movies?

I think it's amazing that people can devote themselves so easily to one thought that it can drive them 'insane'. But from what I understand she's quite happy now living somewhere around here as an interior designer. At least we should give er credit for having pulled her life together.

Clion: I was an average middle class guy out to make a living , self expression creativity etc were jargons I picked up when I ran into the saviours of the Indian cinema . Its a miracle how I stayed afloat in this business. Pure animal energy I guess.

I have seen what it has done to really loving lovely people who were part of 'filmy' families..... So how can we get to know about you? Mahesh: Is it true, what Shah Rukh says that most of your films are now directed by your assistants! And hence they flop? Like: Chaahat! Paapa Kahte hain! That's why he has rejected your fresh offer? Without even listening to the script!

Satish: Cuase I'm not an original . BTW do you know what originality means? Conceal the source and your original.

Daddy: The ones that flopped. Everybody is there to appluad the ones that worked . Somebody has to own up the ones that didn't . For a film maker a flop film is like a child they give birth to which takes few steps and falls and dies. Who else but the parent will bury it?

Mr. Bhatt : There is this lady here who knew you in Bombay way back in like 1980...Arth days...she says you are gay. Is that true? In anycase what do you think about being gay? Would you give that a go to, since you've done everyother human emotion on screen so far...how about lesbians??
