anil, Mr Jaitley, the BJP seems to be making hay while the sun shines where taking on alliance partners is concerned. We have heard the BJP's standard justification for this too, which at best is an eyewash or politically expedient answer. What real precaution is the party taking against its fundamental principles -- mainly some politically incorrect but terribly true things it voiced for the first time in Indian politics -- getting totally corroded?

How a foreigner by birth and Indian by registration would rise through the army ranks in 15 years to be in the race for chief is something I am unable to comprehend. But politics is not like the army.
