Indian Railways has 114,500 kilometres of total track over a route of 65,000 kilometres and 7,500 stations.
It is the world's fourth-largest railway network after those of the United States, Russia and China.
The railways traverse the length and breadth of the country and carry over 30 million passengers and 2.8 million tonnes of freight daily.

US Department of Defense

The department includes the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, as well as non-combat agencies such as the National Security Agency and the Defense Intelligence Agency, including the Norad base in Colorado Springs.
The DoD's annual budget was roughly $786 billion in 2007.
This figure does not include tens of billions more in supplemental expenditures allotted by Congress throughout the year, particularly for the war in Iraq, or expenditures by the Department of Energy on nuclear weapons design and testing.
