The annual Best BPO Employers Survey 2011 conducted by Dataquest, India's leading IT magazine, consists of two parts: HR round and employee satisfaction.
In the first phase, HR questionnaire was sent to about 100 BPO companies. In total, 20 companies confirmed their participation in the survey out of which only 15 companies participated in the second round.
In the the second phase 1,344 employees were interviewed across 15 companies. The employee survey included only call-floor executives and operational managers at all levels but excluded back-end support staff from departments like HR and administration.

Aegis improved its ranking by two places over the previous year, thereby emerging as one of the top three and fastest-growing BPOs in India. It was ranked no. 4 in 2010.
Founded almost 30 years ago in US, Aegis is a global business services and experience management company. Aegis, a $17-billion conglomerate, is wholly owned by the Essar Group.

Wipro lost its ranking by one position over the previous year. In 2010, it was no. 2 on the list.
