Samsung unveils 4 budget smartphones
To ward off the growing competition in the affordable and low-cost phone category, Samsung announced that it will soon launch four smartphones. These include Galaxy Core II, Galaxy Ace 4, Galaxy Young 2, and Galaxy Star 2.
All the phones will feature the latest Android version KitKat 4.4.

Galaxy Core II
This is the successor to the existing Galaxy Core that comes with dual core processor and 1GB RAM.
The updated phone will feature a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and 768MB RAM. Core II will sport a bigger 4.5-inch screen compared to it’s predecessor that has 4.3-inch display.

Galaxy Core II
To power the phone, Samsung has used a 2,000mAh battery and features a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash. It also has a VGA front camera.
“The Galaxy Core II is the perfect device for users who want the optimal mix of style, portability, and power. It sports a refined leather-like back cover design,” states the company’s press note.

Galaxy Ace 4
In the Galaxy Ace series, Samsung has launched Ace 4 with a 1.0 GHz dual-core processor and 1,500mAh battery.
Samsung will have an LTE and a 3G version of the phone for different markets. The LTE version will be slightly more powerful with a 1.2GHz dual core processor.

Galaxy Ace 4
The phone will sport a 4-inch screen and a 5MP camera at the back. It will also have a VGA front camera.
The 3G version will have a 512MB RAM and the LTE one will sport 1GB. The battery will change depending on the version, too. 3G version will come with a 1,500 mAh battery and the LTE one with an 1,800 mAh.

Compact yet fully equipped with features, the stylish Galaxy Young 2 comes with a 1.0 GHz single-core processor and 512MB RAM.

This is another 3.5-inch screen offering from Samsung. The least powerful among the four phones announced, the Star 2 comes with a 1.0 Ghz processor and 512MB RAM.
