The tablet buzz is getting louder for digital consumers in India. In calendar year 2012, companies shipped 3.1 million tablets. This is set to double by the end of this year, according to forecast by research firm CyberMedia.

Amazon's free Kindle books selection
If you have a Kindle just log on to Kindle Store to download free books from contemporary writers and out-of-copyright books published before 1923.

OpenLibrary
The website is funded in part by a grant from the California State Library and the Kahle/Austin Foundation. It is a library on internet that lets you borrow and return e-books for free.
A registered user can borrow up to five titles for two weeks each and get the book either in-browser or as a PDF or ePub. OpenLibrary has over a million books.
