A gold-plated Infiniti G37 is the centre of attraction at a jewellery store in Nanjing, China. Five artisans worked for over four months to make this gold-plated car, Xinhua News Agency reported.

Unfortunately, the car displayed outside the showroom was confiscated by police as it did not have a number plate.

Some 140 factories in this village with a tradition for leather shoe making that stretches back nearly 100 years, now produce about 100,000 pairs of hand-made shoes a year, worth some $2.5 million.

Each of the 2,000 labourers in the village earns about $100 per month and sell their products for between $4.50 and $10, but many are exported and can retail in brand-name stores for more than $100.
