A day after an air-conditioning duct on the Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar metro railway train malfunctioned leading to rain water pouring into a coach, its operator Mumbai Metro One claimed that it has taken "all necessary measures" to ensure such incidents do not recur.

"Inconvenience to commuters caused on Wednesday has been taken seriously by us. We checked all 128 air-conditioning units last night and found them in order. We are committed to provide our commuters the best of services," an MMO Pvt Limited spokesperson said in a statement issued.
