India's domestic air traffic continued on its robust growth path this winter recording the highest number of passengers carried between October and December last year. The fourth quarter of 2010 registered 147.05 lakh (14.705 million) passengers, up from 134.78 lakh ( 13.478 million) in April-June, 2010, 119.84 lakh (11.984 million) in July-September and 118.54 lakh in January-March, according to official figures. 1. Jet Airways
Jet Airways and its wholly-owned subsidiary JetLite together carried 38.13 lakh passengers (3.813 million) in December. In the October-December period, Jet-JetLite jointly held 26 per cent of the entire domestic market share.
Jet Airways recorded a seat factor of 80.1 per cent. Seat factor is the average percentage of seats filled on each flight.

2. Kingfisher Airlines
Kingfisher and Kingfisher Red together carried 27.81 lakh passengers (2.781 million) in December.

3. IndiGo IndiGo bagged the third place with 25.89 lakh (2.589 million) passengers. The highest seat factor of 93.3 per cent was bagged by IndiGo.

Air India (domestic services) stood at the fourth place with 25.42 lakh (2.542 million) travellers. Air India recorded the lowest seat factor at 78.8 per cent.

Budget airline SpiceJet bagged the fifth position with 20.01 lakh (2.001 million) passengers.
