Indian tea industry is concerned over the discouraging export scenario in 2011 and raises concern over decreased production compared to its global competitors.
Meanwhile, a source in the industry said that despite concerns being raised over the declining trend in tea export, the industry has not initiated any systematic study to find out the reasons responsible for it.
There has also not been any sustained campaign by the government to promote Indian tea abroad.
