The North American International Auto show in Detroit completes 23 years in 2011.
The show reflects the revival of the auto industry after the recession, which badly hit sales and profitability. The show is expected to see 40 new car launches.
Porsche 918 RSR.
Porsche introduced the 918 RSR vehicle at the Cobo Center of the North American International Auto show in Detroit on January 10, 2011.
An innovative super sports car, it uses a gasoline-powered V8 engine with 555 horsepower for the rear wheels and a pair of 101 horsepower electric motors on the front wheels.

KV7 concept car The KV7 is Wi-Fi enabled, providing both the front and rear displays with Internet capabilities and the ability for multiple passengers to connect their smart phones to the vehicle at one time and sign on to social networking sites.
Rear passengers have their own, separate interface in the form of a floating tabletop touch-screen computer display.

Audi A6 hybrid vehicle Audi A6 hybrid system combines a 211 HP 2.0 TFSI engine with an electric motor that delivers 45 HP and 211 Nm of torque.
The engine is mated to a modified 8-speed tiptronic transmission that sends torque to the front wheels. It will deliver an average fuel consumption of only 6.2 litres per 100 km (37.94 US mpg).
