New hypercar from Pagani at $1.5 million!
For those who love hypercars and like to stay updated about what's coming up, here is some news. Italian carmaker Pagani has come up with a replacement of its supercar Zonda.
The new car, christened Huayra, is here and is likely to cost over a whopping $1.5 million, or about Rs 6.85 crore).
Huayra (pronounced Wirer), or 'god of wind', is a result of seven years of rigorous research and development by Pagani.
Taking forward the Pagani and Mercedes' AMG alliance, the Huayra has a bi-turbo 6.0-litre V12 under its hood.

There will be two versions of the car, one with a 700 bhp and 91.8 kgm engine, and the other with a 730bhp and 112 kgm unit.
The AMG unit has been tuned to bring down turbo lag and improve the throttle progression.
The car is likely to have touched a top limit of 230 mph and can go from 0 to 62 mph in 3.3 seconds. But these are not official figures as there is no information available on the performance front from Pagani.

Among several other features the car comes with a three-stage Bosch traction control system, seven-speed paddle-shift gearbox sourced from XTRAC, gull-wing doors made from carbon fibre, etc.
The car comes with a touch-screen satellite navigation system and Bluetooth, and has comfortable interiors with ample of cabin space.
The car also has four movable aerodynamic flaps that operate somewhat like an aircraft's wings and manage the airflow.

The driver can also adjust the front ride height to suit his needs. At high speeds it helps manage airflow under the car.
The car's kerb weight is around 1,350 kg even though it is larger than the Zonda and has more safety gear.
