European car-maker Volkswagen said it will launch the new edition of its Jetta and Passat in India next year.
"We will launch the new Jetta and new Passat in the Indian market in 2011," Volkswagen Group's Head of Marketing and PR (Passenger Cars) Lutz Kothe said.

"We have no plan to localise the Jetta or Passat, but we will continue to assemble them in India," he adding, "India is the fastest-growing market in the luxury car segment and we will continue to grow here."
He, however, did not reveal the price of the new Jetta and Passat.

Kothe said there was a waiting period of two-to-three months for its Polo and Vento due overwhelming market response for the two models.
"We are gradually ramping-up production at our Chakan facility in Maharashtra to cater to the increasing demand," he said, adding "the Polo (white colour) has been more in demand in the market."

He, however, did not specify by how much the production has been scaled-up. The company sold 4,613 units of Polo and Vento in November this year.
It sold over 26,000 units across models from January-November this year.
Earlier, the company had said it will be achieving the full annual production capacity of 1.1-lakh units at its Chakan plant by end-2011.
The company has invested up to Rs 3,800 crore (Rs 38 billion) in India so far.
