Auto enthusiasts in India have never had it this good.
Last year it was the Bugatti Veyron that drove down to Indian shores and this year so far we already have the iconic prancing horse on its way to company's showrooms.
But that is not where the good news for supercar lovers ends. Media reports suggest that after Porsche, Ducati and Ferrari Mumbai-based Shreyans Motors are now gearing up to bring the Maserati Quatraporte 4 door and the Gran Turismo Coupe to India.
Both Maserati and Ferrari are owned by Fiat and also have a lot in common.

Earlier in the month Shreyans Group was appointed official importer for Ferrari in India.
The first Ferrari dealership is likely to come up in New Delhi this April and a second will obviously open doors in Mumbai.
So, the Ferrari lover in the country can simply walk into the showroom and chose to bring a Ferrari California, 458 Italia, 599GTB Fiorano or the latest Ferrari FF home in the future.
Some media reports suggest that so far 24 cars have been allocated to India out of which 14 cars are tentatively booked.

Porsche 918 Spyder - start ordering!
All those Porsche fans out there here is some big news - even though it doesn't directly concerns the car manufacturer's India plans its good news nevertheless. The Porsche 918 Spyder is now available to order.
The 918 Spyder was first showcased at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show and its racing avatar was displayed at the Detroit auto show.
The car will go into production at Porsche's Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen factory on September 18, 2013 and only a limited 918 cars will be produced. The deliveries would start in November of that year.

The new Porsche is claimed to be environmentally friendly and will be carved out of a carbon-fibre reinforced plastic monocoque with removable roof panels, say media reports.
It will be propelled by a rev-happy 4.0-litre 500bhp V8 motor accompanied by two electric motors on the front and rear axles.
The electric motors, powered by lithium-ion liquid-cooled battery, will be capable of generating 218bhp teamed with a seven-speed PDK box.
The car has a 16-mile all electric range and charges in three hours.

The car would be capable of doing the 0 to 62mph sprint in 3.2 seconds and would touch a top speed of 199mph.
The electric motors alone can take the car to 94mph though you might miss the revving sound!
There is no word about its availability in the India but according to media reports in the US the car starts with a base price of $845,000, excluding the freight charge.
New Hyundai Accent and...
The country's second largest car maker has refreshed its saloon model Accent and launched its 2011 edition in the Indian market.
The car is powered by a 1.5-litre SOHC engine capable of delivering 95bhp and 12.7 kgm of torque.
The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox and promises to be a good performer.
Some of the exterior changes made to the car include a new front grille with chrome finish, new side impact moldings with chrome inserts, and the rear license plate gets a chrome garnish.
The car is priced at Rs 501,900 (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

Hyundai Motors has some more projects in the pipeline for the Indian market.
Let's take a look at three of them:
Hyundai i45 and RB Saloon - The Hyundai i45 was spotted testing between Chennai and Bengaluru a while back and the car looks well styled on the outside and luxurious on the inside.
The GDI badge seen on the rear hints at a 2.0 litre turbo charged engine capable of producing 210bhp.
Also, the fact that the test mule was running undisguised hints at the fact that the carmaker might be close to the launch date of the model.

Hyundai is all set to bring the RB saloon, called Solaris in Russain, to the Indian market. Hyundai showcased the RB Saloon in the Moscow Auto Show last year.
The Hyundai RB is likely to powered by 1.4 and 1.6 Gamma petrol engines capable of generating 106bhp and 122bhp respectively.
The car would have four-speed automatic and a five-speed manual transmission options.
RB is built on the 'fluid sculpture' format of the company and flaunts new bumpers, new front grille, bonnet and headlights.

Hyundai HA
The entry level segment in the Indian car market is all set to get more competitive with the entry of Hyundai's new small car HA.
The car is likely to be priced in the Rs 200,000-300,000 bracket to compete against the likes of Tata Nano and Maruti Alto.
The car is likely to be powered by an 814cc three-cylinder version of Santro's Epsilon engine.
The second half of 2011 is the expected launch date of the car that will be in a direct fight with the country's bestselling car Maruti Alto and the tiny people's car Tata Nano.
