Maruti Suzuki India is offering the mid diesel variant of Ertiga with ABS at a reasonable price of Rs 789,000.

On the other hand, the cash cow of Toyota, Toyota Innova 2.5 GX 7 Seater Diesel costs around Rs 11,58,956, while Mahindra Xylo E4 and E8 with ABS and Chevrolet Tavera Neo 3 LT 7 C Seats BSIV comes with hefty price tags of Rs 848,324, Rs 928,022 and Rs 989,820 respectively (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).

Mileage

Besides such a cool price, Maruti realised that Indian consumers can be wooed by a car that delivers more mileage.

On an average, Ertiga delivers a very impressive mileage of 20.77 kmpl (as per company's claims), while its competitors including Tavera Neo, Xylo and Toyota Innova generate much less.

Chevrolet Tavera Neo gives out 14.6 kmpl of fuel economy, while Toyota Innova and Mahindra Xylo deliver a mileage of 13 km per litre.
