Problem: According to Toyota, both the vehicles had the probability of malfunctioning filler hose, which could cause fire
Hence, to examine this issue Toyota recalled both the Etios vehicles that had the production date prior to 8th October, 2011.
Solution: At the service company's centre the defective part was replaced with a brand new filler hose, free of cost

Chevrolet Captiva
Problem: The heating up of steering fluid that could set the vehicle ablaze was the prime reason behind the recall
General Motors recalled over 15,000 Captiva globally. Even though, no case of any SUV catching fire was reported to the company; as preventive measures GM recalled all the vehicles manufactured between the period of 2nd October 2009 to 21st April 2011.

Problem: Faulty air-bags
Due to the inability to handle too much pressure at the time of crash, around 9,00,000 Honda Civic vehicles were recalled globally by Japanese auto major Honda Motors.
The problem was noticed when nearly 20 accidents were reported due to these faulty air-bags in the year 2009.
