Last year has been a dramatic year for the Indian automotive industry. The so called ‘most developing auto-market’ experienced quite few ups and downs throughout the year.

There were phases when prominent car makers faced strikes and had to recall their vehicles due to technical issues.

Looking on the graph, it can be evaluated that the carmakers faced a decline in sales due to high input costs, diminishing rupee value and increasing fuel prices.
