Retail inflation cools further to 5.52% in October

A fruitsellerIndia's annual consumer price inflation eased for a third straight month in October to 5.52 per cent, its lowest level since the government started releasing the data in 2012, data showed on Wednesday.

The latest number was lower than a Reuters poll forecast of 5.80 per cent and September's 6.46 per cent print.

Consumer food price inflation, under a new series published by the government, eased to 5.59 per cent last month from 7.67 per cent in September.
