The Special court trying the Satyam scam on Monday posted to June 9 the hearing of the CBI's plea for examining Ramalinga Raju through video-conferencing, in connection with the multi-crore accounting fraud in Satyam Computers.
The Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences, where Raju has been undergoing treatment for Hepatitis-C, on Monday did not submit medical report on Raju's health condition as directed by the court in the last hearing.
On June 4, Magistrate BVLN Chakravarti said the medical report about health condition of Raju was last received on April 17 and called for fresh medical report from NIMS director to be submitted on Monday.
However, the NIMS authorities said they received a letter from the court seeking a report on Raju's health condition on Saturday evening and could not prepare the report on time.
"We have received the letter from the Court on Ramalinga Raju's health on Saturday evening. We will prepare a report and submit to the court," NIMS director Dasari Prasada Rao said.
Raju, the prime accused in the multi-crore financial fraud in Satyam Computers, is not attending the court proceedings since September last year citing health reasons.
