Mahindra Bolero retains title as India's No 1 SUV

For the fourth consecutive year, the Bolero has sold over 1 lakh vehicles during FY2015. 

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd has announced that its flagship Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), the Bolero has retained its position as India’s No 1 SUV for the ninth consecutive year.  The iconic tough and rugged SUV is also India’s highest selling SUV since FY 2007.

For the fourth consecutive year, the Bolero has sold over 1 lakh vehicles during FY2015.

Further, the Bolero notched up the 5th position among the top selling passenger vehicles in India in FY 2015.

What is significant is that the Bolero is the only SUV to feature among the top 10 selling passenger vehicles in India.

Speaking on this achievement, Pravin Shah, President & Chief Executive, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “The fact that the Bolero has sold more than 100,000 units in FY2015 and retained its position as the country’s No. 1 SUV, signifies the confidence consumers have in the brand. Over the years, the Bolero has evolved with the changing lifestyle aspirations of customers. I am sure that the Bolero will continue to be as popular on Indian roads in the years to come”.

The next generation Bolero is a compact SUV that will be a seven seater and it will get a new 1.5-litre diesel engine and it will also get a three-cylinder engine and which will come with two options a five-speed manual and an automated manual transmission too.
