Kalam to present TERI awards on Jun 26

President A P J Abdul Kalam will confer The Energy and Resources Institute Corporate Awards on June 26.

The award is given in recognition of the ongoing environmental management and protection accompanied by the adoption of a socially responsible approach to business within the Indian corporate sector.

TERI corporate Awards, besides working in the field of sustainable development, seeks to create awareness and implement strategies for improving environmental management standards.

A nine-member jury, chaired by former Chief Justice of India Justice J S Verma, will select the winners after a screening process, TERI said in a statement in New Delhi.

This year, 152 corporates applied for the two categories of the awards.
