Jeep India’s portfolio includes three models
Following its local unveiling at the Auto Expo 2016, FCA has launched the Jeep brand in India. The product lineup includes the Jeep Wrangler, SRT Grand Cherokee and Jeep Grand Cherokee, all of which are imported into the country via the completely built unit route.
Here is the price list (ex-showroom, New Delhi) of Jeep India’s Grand Cherokee lineup.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and Summit are powered by a 3.0L V6 turbo-diesel motor that produces 243 PS at 3,600 rpm and 570 Nm of peak torque at 2000 rpm.
The only transmission option is an eight-speed automatic gearbox with steering-mounted paddle shifters. Both models are also fitted with an active 4WD system supplemented by Selec-Terrain, while the Grand Cherokee Summit gets a limited slip differential. It delivers 12.8 km/l according to the company.
The Grand Cherokee is also available in the performance SRT variant.
The range-topping Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT packs one the largest V8 motors in an SUV: a 6.4-litre Hemi V8 N/A petrol engine that makes 470 hp and 630 Nm of torque.
It is fitted with an eight-speed automatic gearbox from the regular Grand Cherokee. Exclusive to the Grand Cherokee SRT are features like Launch Control, Brembo disc brakes and Selec Track (adjusts the suspension, torque distribution, shift schedule, stability control and engine mapping).
