Tatas-owned Jaguar Land Rover today said it has appointed ex-Porsche CEO Andy Goss as the President for its North American operations with effect from next month following the retirement of incumbent Gary Temple.
"Goss, 53, will have overall responsibility for the National Sales Company operations of the Jaguar and Land Rover brands in the United States and Canada," the company said in a statement.
Prior to joining JLR, Goss was the Chief Executive Officer of Porsche Cars GB. He will report to JLR Director (Group Sales Operations) Phil Popham from May 1, it added.
"We are delighted to welcome Andy to the critically important North American team. Please join me in wishing Andy every success with his new assignment and in wishing Gary a long and happy retirement," Popham said.
The company said Temple, who has been associated with JLR's North American business since 2007, has announced his intention to retire later this year following a hand-over period with Goss.
