After retailing the Tata Nano in its Big Bazaar stores, Kishore Biyani's Future Group is in talks with other car and two-wheeler manufacturers to sell their vehicles.

"Nano was a successful experiment for us. We can also launch other cars in our stores. We are in talks with some of the companies," said Biyani.

Big Bazaar stores have sold 900 Nano cars since February, when Tata Motors made the arrangement.

After a decline in sales late last year, Nano sales have picked up in the country. Tata sold 8,262 units in February and 8,707 units in March, nearing the peak of 9,000
units in July last year.

"We have received ex-pression of interest from both car manufacturers and two-wheeler companies but we have not finalised anything," said Sandip Tarkas, president, customer strategy, Future Group, who heads the initiative.

Tarkas said the group would take at least six months before deciding other manufacturers. Future Capital, the financial services company promoted by Biyani, on Thursday announced the launch of financial superstores in large Future Group stores.
